The Springfield Project is looking for a new Trustee to join our Board

The Springfield Project is an award-winning Christian charity in Sparkhill, Birmingham that has operated for over 30 years showing God’s love in our community through practical service and action for families in one of the poorest areas in the UK. We welcome applicants who can support our continuous development with skills around law, communications and marketing, and/or strategic planning. We would particularly welcome applicants from the Springfield community or those who reflect the community of the area. This is a voluntary role.

The children and staff at Mini Springers had an absolutely fantastic 🌟time celebrating World Book Day last week!

Everyone got into the spirit by wearing their favorite costumes or cosy pyjamas, and we had such a blast with fun activities inspired by our beloved stories. 📖

🎨 🎆 Holi is a festival that marks the arrival of spring and symbolises the victory of good over evil. It is celebrated with joy, music, dance and by playfully throwing coloured powder. The festival promotes unity, forgiveness, and the celebration of love and new beginnings.

In the nursery, it is a wonderful opportunity to engage in activities that celebrate diversity, creativity and cultural understanding.

Our one-year-old had a great time exploring textures while bringing the "Incy Wincy Spider" to life. With support from her parents, she enjoyed squishing soft playdough and was helped to shape pipe cleaners into legs.

She also practiced her fine motor skills by coloring cardboard tubes and scrunching up colorful tissue paper. Parents also used the pipe cleaners to make fishes for the "1-2-3-4-5 Once I Caught a Fish Alive" song.

Encouraged family to get creative with upcycled materials and try using recycled paper rolls or turning old cardboard boxes inside out, to create a fresh canvas for decorating
