Trustee

The Springfield Project is looking for a new trustee to join our board

The Springfield Project is an award-winning Christian charity in Sparkhill, Birmingham that has operated for over 30 years showing God’s love in our community through practical service and action for families in one of the poorest areas in the UK. We help over 3,000 people each year and have exciting plans for the future.

Trustee The Springfield Project

We offer a range of services which support our mission to empower, enable and enrich the Springfield community and the surrounding areas. Our work with children and families is well established and spans a whole range of need from universal stay and play provision, nurseries, arts festivals to complex family support issues in our Children’s Centre. As part of the Birmingham Forward Steps Health and Wellbeing Service for Birmingham we work at both a strategic level in the city and a grass-roots community level to support our community to live life to the full.Trustee The Springfield Project

Our well-functioning board is in a positive position and is now looking for the right person to join as a new trustee. We welcome applicants who can support our continuous development with skills around law, communications and marketing, and/or strategic planning. We would particularly welcome applicants from the Springfield community or those who reflect the community of the area. This is a voluntary role.

To express an interest in becoming a trustee, or to find out more, please contact our CEO, Sarah Robbins by email on [email protected]

🌊🐠 National Marine Week, Play Day & Greek yoghurt 🌊🐠 National Marine Week, Play Day & Greek yoghurt with berries Day! 🎉

At our Summer Play and Stay last week, we enjoyed lots of fun activities at our summer stay and play, celebrating the sea, the importance of play and healthy eating!

Children explored marine-themed activities, got active with Active Azra, enjoyed music and movement, and took part in fun shopping and sensory games. 🦀🌊
We also had Greek yoghurt with berries Day, linking in Mickey Me Size and Fay Five a Day. 🍓🥣

A fun-filled time of learning, playing, moving and tasting! 💙

It was a pleasure to host the community screening It was a pleasure to host the community screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing #PEBukand and have such a valuable and engaging conversation about the challenges we face and the action needed for the future. A big thank you to everyone who came along and took part in the event.

There is clear evidence that urgent action will strengthen our economy, resilience, and quality of life.
Please keep sharing the petition. It remains open until 20th November, and continuing to push up the number sends a powerful signal.

🌞 Summer Stay & Play Highlights at The Springfield 🌞 Summer Stay & Play Highlights at The Springfield Project 🌞 Startwell

We've had a fantastic few weeks celebrating International Animal Days, Love Parks Week, and the Festival of British Archaeology.

The children enjoyed exploring animal habitats, painting with cars, exploring playdough, rhyme time with a parachute, making fruit kebabs, creating artwork and bracelets, and developing their physical skills through Sammy Skills, Active Azra and 180 Katie activities.

Thank you to all the families who joined us. It has been wonderful to see the children learning, growing in confidence and having so much fun together. We look forward to seeing you at our next Stay & Play session! 💚🌈
