Springfield Children’s Centre

Springfield Children’s Centre working alongside St Paul’s Children’s Centre is now part of Birmingham Forward Steps (BFS), a pioneering Early Years, Health and Wellbeing initiative, supporting children aged 0-5 in the Hall Green District. The service brings together a health visiting service and children’s centres, so that families can access the help they need from pregnancy until their child starts school.

The delivery partnership is made up of:

  • Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
  • Barnardo’s
  • Spurgeons Children’s Charity
  • St Paul’s Community Development Trust
  • The Springfield Project

Springfield Children’s Centre hosts a number of activities and services for you and your child, including stay and play groups, practical parenting courses, advice and support services. Have a look at our Pregnancy and Under 5s pages for more information.

😊🦷 Lets look at our School Readiness Stay and Play 😊🦷 Lets look at our School Readiness Stay and Play celebrated the World Oral Health Day: Happy Mouth, Happy Mind last week😊🦷 Startwell

This year we celebrated how a healthy smile supports a happy mind 💛

We met Toothie 🧸, our friendly mascot, who helped families learn simple ways to keep little smiles bright and healthy!
✨ Smiley Shen’s Top Tips for Families:
🪥 Brush teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste
🍎 Choose healthy snacks and limit sugary treats
💧 Drink plenty of water
🦷 Visit the dentist regularly

😄 Healthy teeth help children feel confident, sleep better, and enjoy life more
A happy mouth meant less pain, more smiles, and happier children! 💫
Thank you to all the families who took part and supported healthy habits 🌱
