Adult Activities

What’s on for Adults

Adult Activities The Springfield Project
Adult Activities The Springfield Project

Our flagship Place of Welcome runs every Thursday, 1-3pm in term time. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy friendship, food, and activities including pool, knitting, computers, colouring and games. Our cooking group meets at 12 noon to prepare a hot, nutritious meal for everyone.

We currently offer regular free housing advice through Central England Law Centre. There is no need to book; just come along to one of our Place of Welcome sessions.

English classes are for complete beginners. The courses start afresh each term and aim to prepare adults to start accredited courses with local colleges.

Volunteering is a great way to boost confidence and gain work skills. Contact Samina for more information on [email protected] or call 0121 777 2722

Other Adult Activities:

We run a variety of other activities throughout the week. These vary but currently include digital skills courses, healthy lifestyle support and energy saving advice. Check our social media or ask at reception (0121 777 2722) for up-to-date information of what is taking place and to sign up.

Mindful Movement:

We run a gentle exercise group for women on Mondays from 1.30pm-2.30pm. This includes chair-based and gentle standing exercises, mindfulness and breathing techniques. It’s a great opportunity to keep active, gain strength and flexibility as well as de-stress. £2 per session.

No experience is necessary, and the activities are tailored to suit all abilities. All materials and hot drinks are provided.

Parents of under 5s

Family Support Workers are available at Springfield Children’s Centre on a drop-in basis Monday-Friday 9am-4.30pm. Ask at reception about support for local families with children aged 0-5 years, or contact us on 0121 777 2722 or [email protected]

🍂🍁 Autumn Sensory Fun at our nursery 🍁🍂 Our littl 🍂🍁 Autumn Sensory Fun at our nursery 🍁🍂

Our little Buds have been immersing themselves in the sights, sounds, smells, and textures of autumn through sensory play! From crunching colourful leaves and exploring natural treasures to scooping, pouring, and creating autumn masterpieces, the children have been developing their curiosity and imagination every step of the way. 🧡

Sensory experiences help support language, creativity, fine motor skills, and confidence, all while having lots of fun! We love seeing the children engage with nature and discover the wonders of the changing season. 🍃🌰✨
