We offer a child-centred approach with all our services and programmes are designed to meet the needs of families. If you are a professional, working with a family that you wish to refer to our services, you can do so by completing a Request for Service Form, located on the Birmingham Forward Steps site.
The Family Support Team collaborates with health visitors, midwives, schools, nurseries and other professionals to provide effective support for local families.
We offer a range of services that includes individual support, workshops, parenting programmes, well-being services, home visits, and referrals to relevant services.
Family Support Duty/Drop-In
Our team is available on-site throughout the week and can be reached from 9:00am to 5:00pm, as we have a duty worker system in place where you will meet our friendly staff who are ready to assist you. If you need help, support, or guidance, please talk to one of our team members, and they will direct you to the appropriate service.
Wellbeing Group
Our Wellbeing Programme is a 6-week, non-accredited course designed specifically for women facing challenges related to their mental health and overall well-being, particularly those who may feel isolated.
The programme offers a safe and supportive learning environment where participants can explore Protective Behaviours. The course is delivered practically and aligns with the NHS’s five steps to mental well-being. We collaborate closely with Birmingham Mind to provide these sessions.
