Volunteer

Our volunteers make a difference in their community and help us to increase the services the Springfield Project can offer to children and families. We want to offer volunteers opportunities that are stimulating, relevant and rewarding and of mutual benefit.

Anyone can apply to become a volunteer. We embrace inclusivity and diversity and value the skills, enthusiasm and commitment brought by staff and volunteers of different faiths and none.

What can I do as a volunteer?

Our volunteering opportunities are varied. Please see our current opportunities to find out what you can do as a volunteer and read our Volunteer Policy. We occasionally are able to accommodate people with specific skills for roles not advertised.

What do I do if I’m interested?

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, email Rosalyn, the Volunteering and Community Manager or Samina, the Volunteering Administrator at volunteering@springfieldproject.org.uk stating which opportunity interests you and why you would be a good person for this role. You will also need to supply your postcode. We have a straightforward application process and can provide support with this if needed.

You can apply online here. Or, click here for our application form.

Requirements

Everyone has skills and talents that can make a difference. For most volunteering, references and a Disclosure and Barring Service check are required. A trial period of volunteering can then ensure both the volunteer and the Project are happy with the chosen role.

Student placements

Student placements during the school / college timetable will only be offered to schools and colleges who approach us directly on behalf of their students.

Young people under 18 who are interested in volunteering should contact Rachel Vargas at r.vargas@springfieldproject.org.uk

Corporate Volunteering

We sometimes offer half day and whole day team away days volunteering. Please contact Rosalyn  r.clare@springfieldproject.org.uk to discuss this further.

Referees

If you have been asked to provide a reference for one of our volunteers, you can do so quickly and securely online here using our confidential volunteer reference form.
