The Springfield Food Pantry offers fresh and nutritious food for an affordable weekly membership fee, whilst making good use of quality food which would otherwise go to waste. The Food Pantry is a community-led scheme open to anyone to join, not just those in crisis. With rising food costs, the Pantry offers choice and dignity during tough times.
You can become a member of The Springfield Food Pantry for a weekly subscription of just £5. For this you get to choose at least 10 items of food worth about £15, including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and store cupboard favourites.
Members can also get involved in volunteering and training, placing local people at the heart of decision-making about food.
The Springfield Food Pantry is open every Monday from 11am to 2:30pm at St Edmund’s Church, Reddings Lane, Tyseley B11 3DD. The 41 bus runs every half an hour between The Springfield Centre and The Food Pantry.
To join, you can complete a form online or drop in to see us on Mondays at St Edmund’s Church.
We are proud that Springfield Food Pantry is part of the National Warm Space network. During the winter months, we want to ensure everyone in Sparkhill has an open invitation to a warm and welcoming space so they can connect with others, get the support they need and feel part of their local community. Lots of people come for the affordable food, but stay for a hot drink and a friendly chat in our warm space.
Springfield Food Pantry is part of the Your local Pantry franchise.
